Organize with tags, folders, and links
Three lightweight systems that combine: folders for hierarchy, tags for facets, and links for graph.
Folders
Folders give you a tree. Most people want a shallow one — two levels is usually enough. Use folders for the big buckets ("Work", "Personal", "Reference") and tags for everything else.
Tags
- Add #tag inline anywhere in a note. Tags are extracted automatically.
- Tags can be nested with /: #work/client-a, #work/client-b.
- The same note can carry any number of tags across any number of dimensions.
Links and backlinks
Type [[ and start typing a note title to link it. Todrise shows backlinks on the linked note so the graph goes both ways.
