Back up and restore your data

Todrise ships a portable backup format (.todrise) that bundles your SQLite database, attachments, and settings into one signed file. Restore on any device to clone your workspace exactly.

Manual backup

• Settings → Data → Back up now → choose a destination.
• Backups are encrypted with a passphrase you choose — losing it makes the file unrecoverable.
• The format is open and documented; you can write your own reader if you want.

Automated

Pair the backup format with optional sync (see the Sync block) for continuous off-device copies. Or schedule a daily backup to a local folder via Settings → Data → Scheduled backup.
