Privacy Policy

Todrise is built privacy-first. This policy explains what data is — and isn’t — collected when you use Todrise, and how you remain in control of your information.

Summary

  • Todrise does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data.
  • All your notes, to-dos, AI conversations, and settings are stored locally on your device.
  • Optional sync is available through a backend you choose and control. Todrise never synchronizes your data to any server without your explicit configuration.

Local-first storage

When you use Todrise, all data — including notes, to-dos, focus sessions, AI chat history, voice input, attachments, and preferences — is stored on your device's local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable sync.

Because your data lives on your device, you can use most of Todrise's features fully offline. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data permanently removes this information.

Optional sync

Todrise supports optional synchronization through backends that you configure yourself (for example, a self-hosted server or a third-party cloud provider of your choice). When you set up sync:

  • Your data is transmitted directly between your device and the backend you configured.
  • Todrise does not operate or have access to your chosen sync backend.
  • The privacy practices of your chosen backend are governed by that provider's own privacy policy.

AI providers and third-party services

Todrise lets you connect AI providers of your choice (such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, or custom providers), web search providers, and voice / text-to-speech services. When you use these features:

  • Requests and responses are sent directly from your device to the provider you have configured.
  • Todrise does not route, log, or intermediate these requests.
  • Each provider handles your data according to their own privacy policy. You should review the policies of any provider you connect.

Cookies and tracking

Todrise does not use cookies, web beacons, advertising identifiers, or any other tracking technology to monitor your behavior.

Third-party links

Todrise may link to third-party websites (such as app stores, community channels, or documentation). These external sites have their own privacy policies, and Todrise is not responsible for their practices.

Children's privacy

Todrise is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the applicable jurisdiction). Todrise does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because Todrise does not collect personal data, most data-protection rights (such as access, rectification, erasure, and portability) are exercised directly on your device — your data is already under your control. To erase all Todrise data, you can uninstall the app or use the in-app data management features.

If you have configured a sync backend, requests to access or delete data stored there must be directed to the operator of that backend.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
